A polished concrete floor has a glossy, mirror-like finish. The general rule is to start the initial grinding with a coarse 16- or 30-grit diamond and finish with a 1500- or 3000-grit diamond, depending on the gloss level required. A grouting chemical is also used throughout the process to fill in any holes, cracks or imperfections that were exposed from the initial coarse grinding step. The concrete is then sealed with a natural-look impregnating sealer; this sealer penetrates 2–5 mm inside the pores of the concrete preventing any deep staining from oils and spills. Commercial and Residential.
Shot Blasting is used for preparations of concrete slabs inside or outside. It can be used to remove paint or just to smooth out the surface. Using the very latest equipment can cost effectively remove all pavement marking systems in use today whether it be on roads, freeways, car parks or airport surfaces.
We also repair damaged concrete! We can also fix the cracks and holes on your driveways, paths and patios. In no time you'll have a brand new looking driveway, paths or patios.
Concrete sealing is a process where sealant is applied to concrete to protect it from surface damage, corrosion, and staining. They either block the pores in the concrete to reduce absorption of water and salts or form an impermeable layer which prevents such materials from passing. This is applicable on Pavers, concrete, driveways and patios.
Pressure Washing is the use of high-pressure water spray to remove loose paint, mould, grime, mud and dirt from surfaces and objects such as buildings and concrete surfaces. The basic pressure washer consists of a motor that drives a high pressure water pump and high pressure hose and gun.
When laying new concrete that is exposed to the elements while it cures, it is important to protect the concrete from drying-out in sunny and windy conditions; and protect the surface from rain and water damage. A diamond concrete grinding is used in this process or an industrial sander that has been fitted with a diamond head to grind through the brittle top layer of the concrete.
